Not Open For Further Replies

What is (or are) the reason some threads have a few responses, then that notice is posted and the thread locked, but with no explanation?

What's the context here?.. Why bring this up? Most of the threads I see get locked are for complaining about rates, too-heavy criticisms of certain providers, and then the basic "no extreme politicking" rules, no trolling or fighting, etc.

Usually the thread gets trimmed to delete all the offending posts, whatever they were, before being locked. That’s one reason there were a few posts left in the thread.

I made a post while ago asking if anyone had seen a certain SP. The responses were only about difficulty getting in touch. No comments from anyone who saw her, nothing offensive or critical. Then "not open for further replies".

So now I am wondering, are you just stirring up drama, or what's your issue? Post a link or two to these threads/posts you are claiming were locked and I will get you your answers, or you can otherwise explain what you are trying to accomplish?

It was back in Dec 23/25. but did a recent search and wondered why it got locked. Nothing nefarious, just curious why a thread would get locked without and explanation.
