Captain Picard - Patrick Stewart Passes Away
He was acting right up to near the end, which is amazing considering his battles with Alzheimer's and such. I am old enough to have made TNG appointment viewing back in the late 80s. He was just great in everything he acted in however. Doomsday will be his last big role I guess, wonder if they will do a title card or mention in the credits for him, he owned Professor X for decades. RIP Sir Patrick.
A top quality human being. RIP
Make it so Number 1 [:(]
Chekov this week as well. Hopefully they both lived well and prospered. SSL
Wait what? Oh no, this is really sad for me. I’m a big Trekkie and grew up watching Star Trek with my family, especially the Next Generation. I’m also a Marvel fan and love X Men too. He was perfect for the role of Professor Xavier too. He was a brilliant actor and a big part of my childhood to adulthood seeing him in various roles. RIP Patrick Stewart. 2026 has seen the loss of some incredibly talented and amazing entertainers sadly, and who are also amazing humans.
Its been a painful week for Star Trek fans that's for sure.
Everyone raise your mug of Tea, Earl Grey, Hot, to this one of a kind entertainer. A major blow to many of us, but the memories will stay with us forever. To quote Picard's nemesis Q: "See you out there!"
"Engage".
A genuine Officer and Gentleman. One of a kind.
What are your favourite STNG episodes? One of my favourites was S05E25 - The Inner Light
What a beautiful impact that man left in the world. I listened to his autobiography a couple years ago on tour and I can’t recommend it enough! He’s the only real person I have tattooed on me (as Locutus of Borg). This one stings.
