Reviews vs. Ads

Folks, we have been getting a lot of "reviews" lately that are nothing more than stealth advertisements, some of them not even stealthy. A review contains details of the experience, services, rates and may well applaud the provider where it is due. We are seeing is simply "Jane doe is back in town and is so wonderful, the sun rises and sets on her shapely ass" "you must go see her immediately" or some variation of that. No discussion of anything that happened, no rates, nothing that is anything but pure promotion. We have seen links to their ads on other platforms, even other review boards. We have seen pics posted, in some cases many of them. This is an across the board warning to stop this behavior, right now. Please and thank you. The ladies who pay for advertising here support the board and help it continue on with the fees they pay. They do so to have the exclusive right to promote themselves here. Guys who are attempting to do it for them can expect infractions and bans as required to get the point across. You might think you are doing your ATF a solid, but what you are doing is not going to be tolerated. This goes for heads up of returning touring ladies, as well as locals. Guys, you cannot even do this if the lady herself is paid. She can post her own ads, she does not need simps and fans stepping on her toes and in many cases getting themselves banned for it. Post legit reviews, all day or night. Keep up with this bush league advertising and you will find yourself in Perbatory. It should also be noted that this applies to paid advertisers promoting unpaid duo partners or gal pals as well. You can mention the name of your duo partner and that's all. No pics (unless it's the two of you are paid advertisers) and no links to unpaid providers.

Is there posting from management where we know who's a up to date paid advertiser?

It does appear though that the line is blurred as flowery lyrical reviews be can be misconstrued as advertisements!

I specifically ask for no sordid details in my reviews. Does this mean I should go DNR? Where’s the line? I’m worried this is gonna scare guys away from writing positive reviews :/

I’m worried this is gonna scare guys away from writing positive reviews :/ Click to expand... It's a fine line. You can leave out gory detail and still write an informative review. The two liner reviews like: She's so wonderful, go see her! cannot be allowed to over run the board, or it isn't a review board anymore. There are boards out there that make that their model, but PERB isn't one of them. It's also got something to do with track record. A known poster with several reviews can certainly have less detail than a brand new poster, whose short and flat review screams shill. If your review is removed or you get an infraction, ask the mod who issued it what was wrong and how to fix it. DNR on PERB is reserved for very unique circumstances and merely requesting to be DNR because reviews are not your thing isn't one of those reasons. Our DNR list is reviewed and approved solely by the board admin, mods don't even get a say.

Another site I am a member of has a template to fill in when posting a review. It includes price, link to website, phone#, description of lady (height, hair colour, tattoos, piercing, breast size, natural/augmented, services, etc), and then a section to write the review. It does make for very consistent reviews. I wonder if PERB would be interested in using a similar template?

ExpCharlee said: I specifically ask for no sordid details in my reviews. Does this mean I should go DNR? Where’s the line? I’m worried this is gonna scare guys away from writing positive reviews :/ Click to expand... This is the elephant in the room. The line is poorly defined, and until that changes imho we will see this conversation pop up annually. I try to make my reviews interesting and informative without resorting to acronyms and mechanical details such as the precise angle my unit was at during penetration. Why? Some ladies don’t want specifics and I’ve had to walk back a review once because a provider informed me that something we did was very much ymmv. I had to choose between what @Forum mod asks for (list of services) or to respect the ladies request and I chose the latter. And it’s not just about this incident - lots of ladies don’t seem to like reviews that get incredibly detailed about services. PERB might say “well then advertise elsewhere” but lol this is probably LITERALLY half of your client base!! Suggestions & feedback - For SPs, don’t be afraid to advertise that a service is based on your discretion and comfort. FWIW as a client, it’s being fully transparent and tells me what might be possible if a connection is formed. But it’s honest. If guys give you a hard time about it - well, it’s another screening tool for you for PERB: - you need a template for reviews that is easy to use and makes them consistent. Then it’s clear to everyone how to review, and it’s clear to all advertisers what review content must be provided. - imho I don’t like to include price. Why? It can change, and reviews are often searched. I would flag any shadiness or false price listings of course. Just my feedback. - if you really pause and think about it, ANY review that would conform to your review policy can “promote” an SP. in fact a good review is 1000% more effective than an SPs paid advertising, with or without pics and such. So review format really isn’t the problem in detecting “bush league” advertising.

No need to include price/time if it's already listed on the ad. Otherwise it is important for decision-making, just like service, menu and upcharges. Yes any of these can change. But if you leave them all out, why bother posting at all?

I am confused about when posting a review of an sp and her name is a common name where there are many sp's with that name. If I just say I saw someone named Natasha, Naomi, Destiny, Ebony, etc which seem to be common names that sp's use, is it right or wrong for me to add a link to her advertsment so you know which Destiny etc is being talked about? The above names are common names I have noticed on ie Leolist, Tryst, etc as I am not refering to any specific sp. I hope a mod replies as I have read everything on here related to rules etc. ie " Rules:" "no links to unpaid providers". (mod rules). Some sps may not be on perb and only on ie Leolist that I see so do I have to ask if she is on perb as a paid provider before I post a review with or without a link to the sp being reviewed?

I am scared now to write a review as I dont know how to identify which Ebony or Destiny sp I saw as there are multiple with ie these names. I thought we could add the link to ie leolist etc but it looks like its not allowed. Ps I know of more than one Charlee so how do I refer to the one I saw?

https://perb.cc/xenforo/threads/riley-reid.333838/ Here is an example that the mods said was not proper. I dont see it as an advert but I see it as a positive review not unlike the glowing review I have recently posted about an sp named Destiny which there are many sp's called Destiny or in the above link Ryley who I also reviewed in the past. But maybe because the above link to an Sp named Ryley was reviewed by a new member and it was his only post made it more of an advert than a review. Still confused.

As the mod has said can post to LL and add last 4 digits of her number to find her... But also the review there is a stealth way to advertise... Reviews should contain length of session, amount settled on, services provided, raving about their return and other nonsense not including the other relevant details makes you wonder is it a review or an advert? Just think about a restaurant review... [ wow this place reopened after pandemic, its amazing go check it out! ] no indication of food ate, [ services], prices paid [ amount settled on] and location [ also similar to length of session and location ] It's not a even a positive review, it's purely advert.

Luciferlynn said: Always ad the last 4 digits and maybe even location. Example for myself someone may write as headline: "LL Lucifer-Lynn 3756 Charleswood". The LL is for LeoList or you can use PRB for PERB, my sp name, my last four digits for my booking number, and my area in the city which is where I'm located. Edit: Also correct me if I'm wrong you can add the link to the ad in your review, if they pay for advertisement on Perb ( You can find out who pays for advertisement by looking under their Perb handle it will say "Supported Member" in a bright red rectangle If they pay for advertisement o. Perb) if they only advertise on LeoList you cannot ad a link in your review. But if you are posting in 411 you can add a link to the sps ad if you are inquiring information on them or inquiring if they are legit or scam regardless of where they initially advertise. I hope this is all correct info I gave and that it helps. Click to expand... All good info but to clarify we can add a link to LL for clarification purposes since LL ads also go down as well... but generally no one does 🤣 it's already repetitive to chase people to add the 4 digits 😂 and to even post relevant info like time spent and money spent... location ... services lol... I think the only time we are more limited on posting links for unpaid supported members are when its more advertising than it is for clarification purposes Thanks for mentioning it and bringing it up tho as its helpful to include approx area of town so pple can plan logistics and routing

It sounds vague to some, but that minimalist style is how I do things now. I think some things are not advertised for reasons of the SW's privacy, and so on, and it is fair they want to keep some matters private, or not be talked about in some crass way. When in doubt, I hold back info. I am not promoting, but it should be possible to give a good review or even just an informative one, without it being overly specific. How I see the process is: Attraction is very subjective & personal. If someone is looking up a specific person in a review, they're probably already seen the provider's ad, and the attraction / interest is already there. The reading reviews or question-asking stage is to do some more vetting before moving from interest to intention, and next is the stage where they ask the provider or group directly (moving finally from intention to action, or not). A review is 75% a legitimacy check for avoiding the negative stuff and maybe 25% to see who is most recommended for something specific. The better providers out there get consistently good reviews (and it is good to know who the best are), but I think the real key to being one of the better providers (or groups) is that they are not getting bad reviews.

It's fair to say someone with a long track record of reviews gets more slack in this regard than a newbie who signed up today.
