Asia Spa Granville 6601 – Misleading promos and terrible service

Wow, I just wanted to come in here to debunk or myth-bust these insane promos this place always advertises on LeoList. Their ad clearly stated a 30-minute massage for $67, including tip. I was only passing through the area because I had a flight out of YVR, and since I kept seeing this spot advertised with these insane promos, I figured I would check it out. I went in not really expecting or even planning to actually get anything, more out of curiosity to see if the deal was legit. When I first walked in, the first lady who greeted me was not attractive at all. Then another lady came in, also an auntie, but a little bit better looking. Her name was either Sophie or Sophia, I cannot exactly remember. She was super flirtatious right from the start, touching my leg and trying to convince me to book a session, which turned me on a little. I was about to walk out, but then she pulled the classic sales trick by offering me a special discount of $60 for a 30-minute massage with a happy ending. She kept going on about how good the massage and service would be, so I gave in. Big mistake. About 10 minutes into the massage, she started hounding me for an extra tip, even though we had already agreed on the price and the promotion specifically stated tip was included. I told her exactly that, but she just would not stop pressuring me. She even tried to guilt me by comparing it to tipping at restaurants, which makes no sense. No server in their right mind would stop mid-service and harass you for more money. It was beyond unprofessional. The attitude shift was immediate. She went from fake friendly and flirty to irritated and cold as soon as I refused to hand over more money. She kept giving me attitude for the rest of the session, which made the whole thing super awkward and uncomfortable. On top of that, the massage itself was absolutely terrible. She was elbowing me sideways into my spine in a way that felt painful and unsafe. Her technique around the neck and shoulders was just as bad and clearly showed she had no real training. I walked out feeling more tense and uncomfortable than when I walked in. To be fair, yes, you get what you pay for. But the way they bait you with discounts, pretend to be nice, and then flip halfway through to pressure you for more money is ridiculous. The promotion may look like a deal at first, but it is misleading and nothing but a scammy upsell. I regret even setting foot in this place, and I definitely would not recommend it to anyone.

Should have gone with your initial gut feeling and walked out. Places like this deserve to go out of business

I haven't been there in a long time as well. I just replied that it was an option based on the better reviews it has had in the past vs Asia Spa.

Click to expand... A few years back, I was curious like yourself. It happened to be my birthday on my way to yvr so I went for the “free birthday massage”. I understand english is not the first language in these places but it seemed that at that moment of enquiry, not only did the girls have zero understanding but I was also speaking an entirely different language. I said I was leaving (they understood that!) but they didnt want to let me go. One girl was ok and I was horny so $80 he massage it was. I remember her asking me if I wanted her to take her top off. I said ok… “you tip $50 extra” oh ffs!

Lesson learned. Next time do a quick search on here. Do it on your phone from the parking lot before going inside. Asia Spa has been reviewed many times and 99% have been bad from day one. Better luck with your next venture. 👍🏻

Most definitely, when you're horny and you see the deals, you get in your head, wondering if it could potentially be a good experience, your mind starts to play tricks on you. So that's why I hope with this updated thread, it can remind other men not to think too much with their 🍆 & not make better decisions than me.

I too was tempted, especially for the 2 for 1 deal as I've been wondering about a duo and that would be about the cheapest way to experience it, but looking at the reviews it seems like they might be a way to cure any curiosity about duos.

Yup. Went there once few years ago, absolutely horrible. Tip this, tip that. Ruins mood right off the bat. Amazed they can stay in business.
