Vancouver Downtown Hotel Question

Hi all, I’m an out of town client who will be hosting an overnight date in Vancouver in the near future. My date will be showing up to the hotel while I am away for the day. If I leave a key for her at the front desk, are there nice hotels downtown that will not force me to add her to the room booking? Thanks in advance.
