Click to expand... A girl working at one of the AMP did spill some beans.......I believe it's pretty standard that the shop owner takes a fixed fee or "cut" per se. I don't want to say too much on this forum and ruin the business for AMPs....cause I know some of you guys will negotiate so hard that the shop owners will be left with nothing 😂😂😂😂 Let's just say....they don't make THAT much if they are not doing volume like Sasa, Phoenix or YiFeng.

Now, depending on which ad you see, Phoenix can have three different prices for 45 and 60 minute appointments. It can be $180/$200 /$220 for 45 minutes. $ 200/$220/$250 for 60 minutes.Not sure how, or why they think this might not look bad, or potentially cause needless arguments between customers and the mamasan.

Their most recent ads seem to have stuck with the new, higher price for over 30 minute appointments. If they are doing this for the World Cup, and they are outliers on price, maybe they'll go back down after FIFA leaves town. Hopefully it isn't a trend other parlours adopt.

Yup, it's easy to spend our money somewhere else. I don't go anymore - their customer service was always lacking and now they're jacking the rates. At least the ads finally show the new prices.

Visited Phoenix spa last Saturday, checked ad on Leolist prior to coming there - it was showing $150 / 30 minutes. When entered the spa, mamasan told me to pay $160. I tried to bring up the ad pricing but she came up with BS like - Oh, that's what the owner has decided to charge starting today but the ad needs to be updated (it's still not though). I wasn't in the mood to argue and paid the requested fee but it totally felt like she simply upcharged me (I'm not a frequent visitor there).
