If you go out with your SP for dinner or social date, would anyone think you're a real couple?

I think it mostly matters how you act. Perhaps how you dress, especially in contrast to each other. Most SPs I have seen were within my age range, and could conceivably had been my SO. Attractive 40 something women are common these days.

I was in Vegas years ago for a convention. Really late at night, as we sat at the bar, we played an interesting game. Try and guess which were real couples, and which was very obviously not his wife. It's possible some guys go to Vegas with their grandkids, but not very likely.
